Ray Grant started work at Red Ball in February of 1991. At the time, he was hired to work in the battery division and then worked in the acetylene plant. In the early 2000’s, Ray moved to work in the Shreveport store in counter sales, and he’s been there ever since. Each day, customers are delighted by his hard work, courteous attitude, and the beaming smile he has for each and every one of them. According to Red Ball CEO, Gary Kennedy, “In the last 20+ years, I have had more customers make a point to call me and compliment Ray Grant than any other single Red Ball employee.”
Many customers come in and ask for Ray by name, and for good reason. They know that he will take great care of them and make sure they are happy. Everyday, without fail, he shows us the power of a positive attitude, and it’s reflected in his work. In his own words, “Red Ball is truly a family atmosphere. Everyone cares about each other, and we all work hard to make everyone else’s job a little easier.” No one better exemplifies that sentiment than Ray himself.
