Red Ball Oxygen is now capable of providing dry ice throughout the ArkLaTex. In our Shreveport Fill Plant, we are capable of producing up to 500 lbs. of dry ice per hour using our dry ice pelletizer. Our process begins by injecting liquid CO2 into the pelletizer, where it rises to atmospheric pressure, and then freezes into its solid icy form. We are then able to extrude the solid dry ice into pellets of varying sizes so that they may be used for many purposes.
Dry ice is most commonly used in food packaging and storing, and is ideal for shipping perishable items that need to remain frozen on long journeys. It can also be used in industrial blast cleaning applications in place of sand blasting. The dry ice pellets can be propelled to clean surfaces of dirt, grime, oil and other substances, and because the ice evaporates, there is considerably less clean up!
We sell dry ice in a variety of sizes and packaging options to most efficiently meet the needs of our customers.
