Anatomy of a Red Ball Cylinder:
- Red Ball Cylinders are labeled with their precise mixture so you know exactly what you are using.
- Cylinders with blended contents are equipped with mixing tubes in order to insure constant blending from lot to lot.
- Every production lot of RBO Shielding gas is analyzed in our on-site gas lab and is guaranteed to +/- 0.5% of the specified mixture.
- Most RBO Shielding gases are "+" filled so that you get an extra 10% of product per cylinder.
- Cylinders are color coded to enable quick visual identification of the gas mixture in the cylinder.
- Cylinders are valved in strict accordance with CGA recommendations.
- Cylinders are lot numbered to enable tracability back to the laboratory analysis.
- All cylinders undergo a rigorous Prefill inspection each time they are filled to insure the optimum customer safety.
- All RBO Shielding gas cylinders are marked in strict accordance with DOT regulations.
- All Cylinder maintenance (e.g. Hydrostatic testing, Valve maintenance, and corrosion resistance) is done on site at our Shreveport fill plant.
