EPA Protocol Gases.
If you are performing EPA test methods make sure you use the correct calibration / EPA protocol gas:
Suffix | Gas | Suffix | Gas |
18A | Methane in Air, Propane in Air, Carbon Monoxide, and Muliti Sulfur Dioxide, Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide |
10B | Methane in Air, Propane in Air, Carbon Monoxide in Nitrogen |
10A | Carbon Monoxide in Nitrogen | 15A | Carbonyl Sulfide in Nitrogen |
15 | Hydrogen Sulfide in Nitrogen | 16B | Sulfur Dioxide in Nitrogen |
16A | Hydrogen Sulfide in Nitrogen | 25B | Propane in Air |
25 | Methane in Air, Propane in Air, Carbon Monoxide, and Multi Component Mathane, Hexane, or Toluene in Air | 25E | Propane in Air or Nitrogen, or NIST Traceable mix |
25A | Propane in Air | 7E | Nitric Oxide in Nitrogen |
25D | 1,1-dichloroethlene, Propane in Nitrogen | 11 | Hydrogen Sulfide in Nitrogen |
6C | Sulphur Dioxide, Carbon Dioxide | 16 | Hydrogen Sulfide in Nitrogen |
EPA Protocol Gases.
If you are performing EPA test methods make sure you use the correct calibration / EPA protocol gas:
Facility Permit | Part 75 | Part 60 |
Daily Calibrations | Yes | No |
Quarterly-CGA's/Linerarity | Yes | Yes |
Annual-RATA's | Yes | Yes |
40 CFR 72.2 Zero Gas | Yes | Yes |
Primary Calibrations | Yes | Yes |
As you can see in the above chart for Part 60 Facilities, EPA Protocols have to be used, and Certified Gases can be used instead for daily calibrations.
Red Ball Technical Gas Services follows the EPA Traceability Protocol for Assay and Certification Requirements to make these important gases which will always have a certification included with each cylinder noting:
- NIST Traceable components and what they were traced from.
- The value on the certification sheet will be +-2% (or better) than the true certified value.
- Embedded QR Code that allows electronic transfer of certification data to CEMS software.
