Winning With Teamwork – Q4 2023

We would like to take a moment to acknowledge and congratulate all the hardworking individuals who have received Winning with Teamwork awards over the past quarter. Your efforts in going above and beyond for our customers and colleagues are the reasons why we succeed! Thank you once again for being a valuable member of the RBO family and for serving all those who rely on us.

Trystian Klosterman
Todd Smith nominated Trystian for her exceptional work resolving AR issues with the University of Tulsa account. The university underwent structural changes with multiple departments, updated their ship-to information, and modified the payables information on all their accounts. Despite these challenges, Trystian remained committed to resolving the issues and worked closely with the customer through numerous calls. She took charge of the situation and provided valuable assistance in getting their accounts cleared up. Thank you, Trystian, for your hard work and dedication to our customers! Congratulations again!

Alexander Purvis
Alexander came down to Geismar for the day to see customers with Cade. During their ride together, the base of the argon pump in Geismar broke, rendering the pump non-functional. As everyone knows, the ability to supply argon to contractors in the area is crucial to the business in Geismar. With the help of Ryan Davis, the Geismar team determined the best course of action, but the required parts wouldn’t arrive until the following day. They then considered welding the broken pieces of the base, but they needed to find a customer who could do that on short notice. Just then, Alexander and Cade returned from visiting customers, and Alexander immediately offered to help by doing the welding himself. They quickly provided him with everything he needed, and he completed the welds, restoring their argon pump to working order. Without Alexander’s willingness to go above and beyond, there is no telling how long the pump would have been down and our customers without argon. Thank you, Alexander!

Robert Robinson
Last week, two orders were placed for bulk CO2 for Calpine Guadalupe and a new Cleco plant in Jennings, LA, which Cade has been trying to pick up for a while. Robert, one of our drivers, left Shreveport at 3 AM on December 5 and, over the next 40 hours, drove 1,000 miles down to San Antonio, over to Houston for a layover and refill, then over to Jennings, then finally back up to Shreveport. As a result of Robert’s efforts, the company brought in $6,000 in delivery fees as well as approximately $6,000 in bulk CO2 sales. Robert’s dedication to taking care of customers and his willingness to go the extra mile creates long-lasting customer loyalty, and it is a key reason why Red Ball is so successful. We’re incredibly grateful and proud to have drivers like Robert on our team! Thank you, Robert!

Ray Vasquez
The Argon pump went down in Geismar, and the team faced limited solutions to get it back up quickly. Ryan was working on another job, and the fill plant team in Geismar was not trained yet on how to swap out a pump. Luckily, the new pump was coming from Houston, and Ray volunteered to transport it from Houston to Geismar and install it. The pump was not ready until 4 PM that day, so Ray didn’t get to Geismar until about 8 PM. Cade, Nate, and the team met him at the store and, with Ray’s guidance, were able to get the installation completed around midnight. Without Ray’s help, there is no telling how long the pump would have been down. Thank you, Ray, for going above and beyond for our team and customers
